The balance between ecosystem services as incentives derived from floristic cover and the conservation of biodiversity is a critical area of study for the preservation of the ecosystem and climate change issues. Ecosystem Services assessment was undertaken by NEMAS Consult as part of a Biodiversity Management Plan development for a proposed Project. Organized by the EPA, the occasion provided a single platform for interaction between the Proponent, Host Communities and the Regulator. Concerns, opinions and suggestions gathered at the Public Hearing ultimately helped to shape the final Impact Statement for the Project.
